Subtenant in the RAU Climate Change R3

In 2018, planning began for a new residential area in the Franconian town of Hessdorf. The aim was to give locals the opportunity to build and continue living there in old age. The residential area was therefore to be traffic-calmed and barrier-free without kerbs. With such far-reaching planning, the inclusion of noise protection measures was of course a must. Commercial and traffic noise required active noise protection with a 253 m long and 4 m high noise barrier. Our green RAU R3 climate wall was the perfect solution. Completion was in April 2020.

Our employees, who are now busy maintaining this noise barrier, were delighted to discover a bird’s nest there and enthusiastically sent the photo to our RAU headquarters.

This means that the RAU R3 Klimawand has already been greened within two years – and is even inhabited! Green noise protection could not be clearer in its efforts to protect the environment and climate!
