RAU Alpin: noise protection with a natural stone look and a premium finish

RAU Alpin combines the distinctive look of a classic gabion with the performance of a high-specification noise barrier. From the outside, the system resembles an elegant natural stone basket and blends particularly well into sensitive settings. Inside, a monolithic sand core stops sound passing straight through and reduces it effectively, so natural design and functional noise control go hand in hand.

On projects where appearance matters as much as protection, RAU Alpin has clear advantages. The facing is a seamless layer of loose-filled quarry stone that is available near the site. The wall in Rehau, for example, is filled with granite from the local quarry. This way the wall takes up the material of its surroundings and relates to its place. The profile tapers towards the top, giving a distinctive yet balanced appearance.

Technically, too, RAU Alpin is built for demanding applications. The noise barrier can be built up to 12 metres high, making it a robust solution for projects with high requirements for noise protection, design and longevity.
