RAU Klimawand R3: effective, economical noise protection

RAU Klimawand R3, our planted noise barrier, combines effective noise control with an economical, plantable form of construction. The system is modular, goes up quickly on site and adapts readily to different requirements. On roads, railways and commercial sites, where land take, construction time and cost matter as much as acoustic performance, that is a clear advantage.

A key benefit is that the structure needs no elaborate deep foundations, which keeps installation simple. The fill can save money too: where material from the construction site itself is suitable, the excavated soil needs no disposal and no fill has to be bought and delivered. Otherwise we mainly use processed recycled crushed stone, for which the supplier provides a certificate, and in some regions gravel or crushed stone from gravel pits. The wall also suits varied terrain and can be planned around curves, changes in level and embankments. Its variable base width gives designers extra room for manoeuvre and makes the system particularly adaptable.
