The company trades as Rau Geosystem Süd GmbH and is based in Kaufbeuren.

RAU.bayern realizes lush green noise barriers for clients from the municipal sector as well as for private customers and is active in Bavaria, Austria, Switzerland and northern Italy. The partner company RAU Lärmschutzwände Geosystem GBK GmbH, based in Berlin, looks after the rest of Germany.

RAU.bayern’s managing director is Erwin Königsberger from Allgäu. He is a state-certified technician in gardening, landscaping and sports ground construction. After many years in landscaping and horticulture, Erwin Königsberger specialized in noise barriers that are different around 20 years ago: Naturally greened and highly effective, they blend harmoniously into their surroundings and effectively keep out negative environmental influences such as noise, fine dust and exhaust fumes.
He is supported by a team of specialist engineers and employees in administration and construction.

Sustainable and regional action is very important to us

Our actions during production and installation should be as ecological and sustainable as our noise barriers: We therefore source the material used to fill our noise barriers from local suppliers with the shortest possible transportation routes. Where possible, we use material from local excavations so that valuable soil can be reused. This means that even with large or long noise barriers, we generally only need one truck, or in exceptional cases two, to deliver the space-savingly loaded wall elements. These are assembled on site. In this way, we try to keep the CO2 emissions for transportation as low as possible.
We only use plants native to Bavaria or the region for the greening of our noise barriers.

RAU.bayern performs for you:

  • Advice and planning with regard to the necessary noise protection reports, the appropriate noise protection wall and the ideal planting
  • Production, construction and installation of ecological noise barriers
  • Proof of statics and material quality
  • Backfilling
  • Planting
  • Maintenance and servicing of noise barriers
  • Renovation of noise barriers
  • Delivery also possible as a kit for self-assembly by the customer

Different wall systems for different areas of application

  • RAU Climate Change R3

A Climate Handprint was created for the RAU Klimawand R3. The emissions determined from the raw material, production, transportation through to the finished wall are exceeded after just a few years by the emissions bound by the greening. RAU Klimawand – the climate-neutral noise barrier.

  • RAU Rock Extensive

The RAU Rock Extensive is our noise barrier with the smallest space requirement. If the conditions on site make it necessary, we can install this model with a minimum width of just 13 cm. This makes it easy to fill gaps and optimize connections.

  • RAU Rock Mobil

The RAU Rock Mobil is the flexible solution for temporary noise protection. The mobile system can be set up quickly, easily adapted to changing locations and rented or purchased as required.

  • RAU Alpine

The RAU Alpin combines the elegant look of a natural stone basket with effective noise protection. The monolithic sand core creates a natural noise barrier with a high-quality appearance and a strong protective effect.

  • RAU Photovoltaics

RAU photovoltaics combines ecological noise protection with environmentally friendly power generation. The greenable noise barrier with integrated solar panels creates a sustainable solution for modern infrastructure projects.

  • RAU refurbishment

Modernize old noise barriers instead of building new ones: RAU refurbishment uses existing support structures and upgrades older systems technically, visually and ecologically.
