Project in the snow-white town of Lohr
How surprised our team was when we were supposed to go to the Snow White town of Lohr a. Main! Why “Snow White’s town”? In the time of the Brothers Grimm, who grew up near Hanau, there was a fair maiden in Lohr whose skin was said to be as white as snow and her hair … well, you know. The father of this “Snow White” was the owner of the Electorate of Mainz’s mirror factory, which also provides a parallel to the evil stepmother’s talking mirror. In addition, the miners in the mines of the Spessart could have given the idea for the seven dwarfs behind the seven mountains. The Snow White from Lohr? A beautiful story.
In this pretty town, the Main-Spessart Clinic is now preparing to move into a new state-of-the-art, innovative central clinic. The new hospital building is set to become the region’s flagship project.
The new Main-Spessart Central Clinic with a usable area of almost 17,000 square meters is being built on Sommerberg, next to the district hospital. The government of Lower Franconia estimates the total costs at around 157 million euros. The new hospital will have 280 beds and open its doors as one of the most modern health centers in the region.
Around 9 years passed between the district council’s decision on December 2, 2015 and the official laying of the foundation stone on September 12, 2024. In a much shorter time, we completed 203 meters of RAU climate wall (R3) erected. After around 14 days of construction, we were able to report completion to the construction company.
