Planted and economical

The RAU Klimawand needs no concrete foundations. That saves time and money. The walls are filled mainly with processed recycled crushed stone, for which the supplier provides a certificate; in some regions gravel or crushed stone from gravel pits is used. Where material from the construction site itself is suitable, we use it: the excavated soil then needs no disposal, and no fill has to be bought and delivered. The wall is then planted. Planted mainly with Virginia creeper and evergreen honeysuckle, the wall grows into a lush green hedge that not only absorbs noise but also provides a habitat for wildlife and plants: honeysuckle flowers feed bees and other insects, and birds can nest in densely planted walls.
