The RAU climate wall (R3) protects and decorates

With 6,000 passengers a day, the railroad line between Lochhausen and Olching (part of the Munich-Augsburg line) is one of the busiest sections of track in Germany. This brings with it a lot of noise, which residents along the tracks are exposed to every day and into the night.

Nevertheless, a new residential complex was to be built here, right on the edge of the railroad line, offering the best possible living comfort. Because the trains slow down or accelerate due to the proximity of the Lochhausen S-Bahn station and thus generate additional noise, the developer wanted a soundproof wall that would reliably deliver what it promises, conceal the view of the railroad tracks and also be pleasing to the eye.

Over a length of 46 m, a 3-meter-high, greened RAU climate wall (R3) provides reliable protection from excessive noise.
